The Caroline Rose was a 39.6 m (132 ft) wooden fishing/sailing schooner built in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia in 1940 and towed to Driftwood Cove on the Georgian Bay side of the Bruce Peninsula, where sport divers sank her as an artificial dive site in August 1990. Storms have since broken and flattened much of the hull, but the large propeller, drive shaft, rudder, port railings and scattered fittings remain in about 16.5 m (55 ft) of clear fresh water. An easy boat dive run regularly by Tobermory charters, it makes a good warm-up or second dive outside the Fathom Five park boundary.
