Cecil J. (Wrack)
The Cecil J is the scattered remains of a 47-foot wooden gasoline-powered tug resting in about 17 feet of water roughly two miles southwest of Port Dover, Ontario, in Lake Erie. Built in 1915 in Erie, Pennsylvania and rebuilt in 1929 at Port Dover, the tug burned and was scuttled on May 27, 1944. Decades of fire damage and ice action have reduced her to a debris field, making this an easy, fish-rich shallow dive favored by newer divers running boats out of Port Dover.
