Morrison Spring

Morrison Springs is a 250-ft-diameter first-magnitude spring pool on the Choctawhatchee River floodplain, run as a free-spirited Walton County park with boardwalks, a swim platform and diver-friendly access. A sandy funnel drops to about 45 ft for open-water divers, while cavern-certified divers can enter two cavern rooms reaching roughly 90-99 ft; the deeper cave system beyond is sealed by collapse. Crystal-clear water (river conditions permitting) and easy entry make it one of the Panhandle's most popular training and recreation dives.

Saguaro Lake (Keyhole / Vista Point)

A Salt River reservoir in the Tonto National Forest northeast of Mesa, dived mainly at the Keyhole cove (with a dock allowing a giant-stride entry) and Vista Point. It is a low-visibility desert lake — typically up to 15 feet at best, with a sharp thermocline around 19 feet in summer dropping temperatures 6-10 degrees — used by Phoenix-area divers for convenient training and night dives. Silty bottoms demand careful fin technique.

Deliverance Tugboat

The Tug Deliverance was scuttled as a public artificial reef in the Escambia County reef zone off Pensacola Beach and lies on sand in about 83 feet of water, only a few hundred yards from the Soule Barge. Storms have destroyed her midships section, leaving the engine standing exposed between the more intact bow and stern. The broken hull is rich in encrusting growth and shelters snapper, grouper and clouds of baitfish.
