Beaver Lake Dive Park

A popular freshwater training and recreation dive area on Beaver Lake in the Ozarks of northwest Arkansas, centered on the Army Corps of Engineers Dam Site day-use park off Hwy 187 near Eureka Springs. The Bluffs area offers ledges and terracing walls from ankle-deep to over 100 ft, while the adjacent Scuba Park holds sunken attractions including a VW Beetle, speedboat, mock submarine, houseboat, and buoyed training platforms. Average visibility runs 16-20 ft with strong summer thermoclines, and several other shore and boat sites (Indian Creek, Farmstead, The Foundations) lie nearby.

Bull Shoals Lake

A White River reservoir on the Arkansas-Missouri line dubbed the 'Caribbean of the Midwest' for its clarity, with 15 mapped dive sites on the Arkansas side. Features include tall rock walls pocked with caverns, submerged oak and hickory forests, gravel points, and placed attractions such as the 'Bus Stop' wreck at 55 ft, the 'Key Hole' swim-through wall at 50 ft, sunken boats and farm machinery. Visibility is typically 15-40 ft and the lake never freezes, allowing year-round diving. Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock is the main dive hub with air fills and training.

Greers Ferry Lake

A Little Red River reservoir in north-central Arkansas ranked among the cleanest and clearest lakes in the country. When the dam was completed in the early 1960s the town of Higden was relocated, and submerged homes, building foundations and roadbeds remain popular dive targets, along with island walls and rock structure mapped by the regional dive community. Diving is staged from Corps recreation areas such as Dam Site and Sugar Loaf.

Arkansas's largest lake and one of its cleanest, set in the Ouachita Mountains near Hot Springs, with roughly 30 charted dive spots around its uninhabited islands. Named sites include Crawdad Island, Zebra Rock, 'Tip of Snoopy's Ear' and Disappearing Island, plus submerged rock formations and remnants of pre-impoundment structures. Visibility runs 15-20 ft on the west end and up to 40 ft near Blakely Mountain Dam, which is also the most practical shore-diving area; most other sites are boat dives.

A clear Ozark reservoir near Mountain Home with about 31 charted dive sites concentrated around the Robinson Point, Hand Cove and Jordan recreation areas. The marquee attraction is the old Henderson Bridge, a massive concrete highway span submerged when the lake filled in the 1940s, lying near Robinson Point. Recreational diving is good at 20-40 ft, with deeper sites to 70 ft and a couple of wall dives dropping toward 150 ft. Spring visibility can reach 40-60 ft.
