The wreck of the schooner A.E. Vickery, which struck a shoal near Rock Island Lighthouse and sank on 15-16 August 1889, on the US side of the St. Lawrence River near Clayton in the Thousand Islands. One of the most popular dives on the river: a buoy line leads down through a swift surface current to the shoal head at 25-30 feet, with the bow near 65 feet, the stern dropping over a ledge to about 110 feet, and broken masts trailing into the channel to roughly 180 feet.
