A 251-foot ore freighter torpedoed by U-158 on March 11, 1942, about 15 miles northeast of Cape Lookout. The largely intact wreck in about 90 ft (27 m) hosts one of the densest sand tiger shark aggregations in North Carolina, with dozens of large sharks routinely seen on a single dive.
