Site details

A 1,000-plus acre Maryland artificial reef 20 nautical miles east of the Ocean City Inlet in 95-110 ft of water, centered on the historic 'Twin Wrecks': the 322-ft steel cargo ship Saetia (a WWI-era loss) and the upside-down bow section of the tanker Oklahoma, which broke in two in 1914. Cable piles and reef material around the wrecks hold plentiful lobster, and the site draws sea bass, tautog and pelagics in season.
