A city-owned flooded limestone quarry in Madison, Alabama, formerly operated as Madison Aquatic Park with a full-service dive shop. It was best known for sunken attractions including a NASA Minuteman missile, an F-4 Phantom jet, a Titan missile nose cone, houseboats, a fire truck, and training platforms, with a max depth of about 55 ft (average ~40 ft) and 20-30 ft visibility. The park closed to recreational use around 2019-2020 when its operator went out of business, and as of 2024 the fenced site sits abandoned while the city weighs proposals to turn it into a nature preserve.
