Site details

Marsa Egla is a large sandy bay about 10 km north of Marsa Alam, entered directly from the beach across shallow water that stays accessible even in rough weather. The bay slopes gently to reefs on its north and south sides, with extensive seagrass meadows in between that occasionally host dugong and frequently green turtles. Easy conditions make it a favourite for shore dives, training and snorkelling.
