Unexploded WWII ordnance remains in and around the wreck, confirmed by Canadian Department of National Defence UXO notices — never touch or move anything ordnance-like. Deep, near-freezing water (32-45°F/0-7°C) drives significant hypothermia and decompression risk, limiting divers to two dives a day and typically requiring trimix training. Multi-level superstructure penetration is possible but is an overhead environment — untrained divers should stay outside the hull. Visibility can drop sharply near the bottom and inside the wreck.
