Site hazards: Recreational and commercial vessel traffic near the Mega Pier requires an inflated surface marker buoy at all times when shore diving. The site is fully closed to divers whenever a cruise ship is docked at the adjacent Mega Pier. Depth reaches about 30 m at the seabed (shallowest point roughly 22 m), beyond standard Open Water limits, so Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent is recommended. Surf and surface chop can make shore entry difficult in rougher conditions.
