Manta Alley
East Nusa Tenggara · —
Manta Bay
Bali · —
One of two Manta Bay divesites. Listen to experienced boat captains, these sites have the potential for very strong surges. Do not go too close to the cliffs where the waves break. Only thing here to see is the numerous mantarays usually feeding.
Manta Ridge
West Papua · Up to 5 m
A dive site in Indonesia. The site reaches a maximum depth of about 5 m. It is accessible from shore.
Manuk Island (Sea Snake Island)
Maluku · 5–30 m
An isolated active volcanic cone in the open Banda Sea, famous worldwide for its extraordinary concentration of sea snakes. Banded sea kraits and olive sea snakes are present year-round in remarkable numbers, weaving through lava canyons, coral fields and black-sand patches. Reef sharks and pelagics add to the spectacle at this remote, current-swept site.
