Site details

The Gladys B is a 102-foot 1937 tugboat scuttled in April 2018 about 22 nautical miles south of Fort Morgan in roughly 100 feet of water, with the superstructure rising to about 62 feet below the surface. Donated by Steiner's Shipyard, it was deployed by the Alabama Marine Resources Division specifically to broaden the state's appeal as a diving destination. The intact superstructure offers structure and shelter that quickly attract reef fish in the otherwise flat, sandy Gulf bottom.
