EntryFrom Shore Road, look for the pile of stones and the old concrete/pipe ramp leading down the ledge. Cross the gently sloping granite slab and time your entry between swells, then swim out over the boulder-strewn bottom that extends several hundred yards offshore.
ExitReturn to the ramp/slab and exit between swell sets — conditions can deteriorate during the dive, so check the exit before committing and abort early if seas build. Crawling out over the ledge may be necessary.
ParkingStreet parking on the southern end of Lexington Street in the Magnolia village of Gloucester; in summer, parking is limited to the area around the Lexington Street/Cliff Avenue intersection and north. From there walk down to Shore Road and turn right to reach the access point at 36 Shore Road.
