Site details

Mattituck Reef is a 50-acre NYSDEC artificial reef in Long Island Sound about 2.37 nautical miles northwest of Mattituck Inlet, in 72-100 ft of water. It holds a sunken vessel and concrete buoy sinkers and is one of the deeper Sound reefs, making it an advanced/deep boat dive. Black sea bass, tautog and scup gather on the structure; visibility is variable.
