A 288-acre lake separated from Candlewood Lake by a causeway, with a state park on its shore in New Fairfield that explicitly allows scuba diving along with swimming and boating. Diving is over a gently sloping freshwater bottom from the park's shoreline; it is a popular regional training spot with typically modest visibility.
