Tien Hsing (Abu Galawa Kebir Tug)

The Tien Hsing is a roughly 35 m Chinese-built steam tug that ran aground on Abu Galawa Kebir reef in the Fury Shoals in October 1943 en route from Suez to Massawa. She rests against the reef with the stern at about 17-18 m and the tip of the bow breaking the surface at low tide. One of the most heavily coral-encrusted wrecks in the Red Sea, she makes an easy, photogenic shallow dive.
