EntryEasy walk-in entry over small rocks onto a sandy bottom from either Carnelian West Beach or Patton Beach. Depths stay shallow (average 20-25 ft) for roughly the first 1,000 ft from shore; sunken barge, engine blocks, old fishing boats and huge logs are scattered across the gradually sloping bottom.
ExitNavigate back along the gentle slope (compass recommended over the featureless sand) and walk out on the beach where you entered.
ParkingFree parking. Carnelian West Beach is a public lot open year-round with spots ~60 ft from the water; Patton Beach / Waterman's Landing is ~1/4 mile away with a large free open lot. Low crowds in winter, very high in summer.
