Site details

The Japanese Gardens is one of Aqaba's most popular reef sites, a sloping coral garden running from shallow water down to around 30 m within the protected Aqaba Marine Park. The mix of shallow and deep terrain, including a deeper Black Coral Valley between roughly 26 and 30 m, makes it suitable for snorkelers, beginners and more advanced divers alike. Table corals, schooling fish, moray eels and turtles are regularly seen.

Sloping reef to 30 m; deeper Black Coral Valley section (26-30 m) requires depth awareness; lionfish and scorpionfish present.
